Arabic for Non-Native Speakers

This course is designed for those who wish to learn Arabic and deepen their understanding of Islam. The curriculum is based on the renowned series العربية بين يديك, providing a comprehensive approach to language acquisition.

There will be three levels in this course. Students will be placed into the appropriate level following an entry exam.

Course Structure:

• Curriculum: Based on العربية بين يديك (“Arabic Between Your Hands”), a globally recognized series for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers. The course covers essential vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing, and speaking skills, with practical exercises and interactive lessons.
• Levels and course materials:
  • Beginners: Arabic Between Your Hands, Book 1, Part 1.
  • Progressing beginners: Arabic Between Your Hands, Book 1, Part 2.
  • Intermediate: complete Book 2, Part 1 and begin Book 2, Part 2.
• Assignments: Completion of all assigned homework is required for steady progress.
• Class Attendance: Attendance to the classes that are going to be held at Beaumont Leys Masjid is required.
• Schedule - Level 1:
  • September–February: Sunday, 11:00 am–12:00 pm.
  • During Ramadan: Sunday, 2:45–3:45 pm.
  • March–June: Sunday, 2:00–3:00 pm.
• Schedule - Level 2:
  • Saturday, between 5:00 and 6:00 pm.

Requirements for Enrolment:

• Ability to Read Arabic: Applicants must be able to read Arabic script.
• Interest in Learning: Suitable for anyone genuinely interested in learning Arabic, regardless of previous experience or background.
• Commitment: Regular attendance and completion of assignments are required to ensure steady progress.
• Motivation: A strong commitment is essential. Remember, great achievements are not attained through mere wishing but through determination and effort.
• Brothers aged 12 and above only.
