Al-Waraqat

Delve into the fundamentals of Usul Fiqh through the study of Al-Waraqat.

This course is entirely free and is aimed at students eager to understand the foundational principles of Islamic jurisprudence through the study of Al-Waraqat, a concise yet comprehensive text in Usul Fiqh written by Imam Al-Amriti.

Language of Instruction:

  • Arabic

Course Structure:

  • Memorisation: Students will memorise the metn (text) of Al-Waraqat.
  • Explanation: Detailed commentary and explanation sessions to grasp the content.
  • Class Attendance: Weekly sessions every Saturday after Ishaa at Beaumont Leys Masjid.
  • Homework: Completion of all assigned homework is mandatory.
  • Examinations: Regular exams will be held approximately every 3 weeks to evaluate comprehension and retention of the material.

Course Duration:

  • Start Date: Saturday, 1st February 2025.
  • End Date: Saturday, 28th June 2025.
  • Breaks: Aligned with UK public school holidays.

Requirements for Enrolment:

  • Arabic Comprehension: Applicants must have the ability to understand Arabic to follow the lessons, though fluency in speaking is not required.
  • Motivation: A strong commitment is essential. Remember, great achievements are not attained through mere wishing but through determination and effort.
  • Open for brothers and sisters: Sisters to attend virtually via Google Meet (enrolment is mandatory).
